Life As We Know it...

When I came back to Lexington after spending spring break in Pineville and I was immediately reminded of what I love most about living in my grandparents' house:

I have no idea how long ago my Paw-Paw planted these tulips but they magically bloom every spring.  They are beautiful and they are my favorite.  I am afraid that they are getting sparser as the years go by but I will be thankful for them until they are gone, and even after.

Lets see, what else have I not blogged about since the middle of March...(I'll try to hit the high parts)

We saw James Taylor and his son Ben in Louisville:
About to make the ugly face!
Our seats were wonderful and they put on a great show.  My Mom loves him, she basically cried through the whole thing. He didn't play "The Secret of Life" (this blog's namesake) but I wasn't disappointed, he played "Carolina in my Mind" and I was happy.

UK made it to the final four for the first time since 1998. So that was exciting, until we lost. :(

Luckily, I signed my life away to UK for two more years so that gives the basketball team two more seasons to win me a championship, heh.

Speaking of that, I am excited but scared...super scared.  I hope that I am cut out for graduate school and what lies ahead of me.

On a completely different note, a week from today I am going to cross off the single item on my bucket list: See Elton John in concert!  He is going to be at the Yum! Center and we have floor seats, I could not be more excited!! I'm sure that weekend will get its own blog, eventually...

Lastly, it is finally warm outside, it is opening weekend at Keeneland, and Tink is staying with me for the weekend, life is good :)

p.s.- I watched Life As We Know It tonight from the Redbox. It was pretty cliche, as expected, but I cried a lot. I love Katherine Heigl and I will watch anything that she is in.
